A big thanks to Sandy Myhre | Northern Advocate Bay News reporter for a positive piece about my mission to bring more happiness and joy into people’s lives. The story is running in the current edition, Bay News, The Advocate, Thursday 25th November.
You can learn more about my mission here:
The article features one of my favourite paintings commissioned by a fab local family, The Heath’s. Pete and Tanya do heaps in the community and it was a joy to create this bespoke ‘statement piece’ for their home. The brief was, “We want to feel like it’s always summer.” And Always Summer became the painting’s name.

As Melanie Chandler-Winter, Creative Advisor, Creative Northland shared, after reading the article, “This looks great, we need more articles on our artists in the region.”
Thank you, again Sandy Myhre and Northern Advocate Bay News
I really appreciated the positive article and I’m really happy with it and I hope it is uplifting for other people to read
I like the fact that Sandy included knowledge that sometimes you just have to employ yourself and back yourself in order to go forward in your life which I’m sure will have a lot of meaning for people right now who are being forced from their jobs, or losing them as businesses continue to suffer.
Bay News, The Advocate have generously given me permission to share the article on my website from next week. In the meantime let’s pay it forward and support Bay News, The Advocate by picking up a copy of this week’s paper. There are some great feel-good stories, including the release of local author Kate Ballard’s book about local stone walls.
